No, I lied. A LOT frustrated.
I know there are a lot of frustrations with this school, and I have been pretty tolerant thus far. But now, i am pretty frustrated.
I am working on English Comp, have been since December. The amount of time it has taken for me to receive feedback from the instructors on my pre-writes and papers has been nearly a month, for each. I am only on the first essay. That is 2mos i have been on this ONE essay because getting a grade for it takes nearly 4wks. There are still 4 more papers to submit and the journals. By the time all that is graded, i will have to submit for an extension because it'll take a month to get each grade. So they will ask me to pay for an extension that i shouldn't have to pay for because its not my fault that i cant get a grade back in a timely fashion. I realize there are a lot of students, submissions, etc,etc. I get it. Since that's the case, make this class less demanding so we can focus on the classes we really need to like the animal science classes. Or make more instructors available to grade. Do something! I believe when i took college level English at the community college, it was not this demanding. I wouldn't have a problem with it if it didn't take so long to get a grade back. A week fine, 2 i can live with, but more than that is costing me time and money. And that is NOT ok. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem or not, but i am about fed up and ready to quit because its ridiculous. I have too much else going on that this hurry up and wait is getting old. I could just as easily stick with my assistant position, take the EVT certification and be perfectly content. I thought getting the degree would be the wisest decision, thought this school would be most time and cost efficient, but this is just stupid. I get the extension is only like $75, but that is $75 i have to put toward other things in my life. But at this rate, i know i will have to get an extension, and they will demand i pay for it, and honestly, not going to happen. Because on top of it, i submitted my paper, i made the changes, made it better, and the instructor failed it. So now, that is an additional 4wks to add to the 4wks per paper, so that's what? At least 20wks? If that is seriously the soonest a paper can get graded, is every 4wks, I'm out. That's ludicrous. I know how to read, i know how to write. I took 12 years of English for crying out loud! Ugh, so frustrated.
Sorry everyone, i had to get this off my chest. I am so fed up with this class i can't stand it! Absolutely, total, BS. Period.
