Environment of Proctored Exam

For my fellow Vet Tech peers, I'd like to get feedback from you about the actual taking of a Proctored Exam.  I know Librarians are recommended as a Proctor. I like that idea. What I want to know is: does she sit you in a nice quiet side room to take the exam or are you seated in the main library?  I ask b/c I am the type of student/test-taker that does best in a quiet, warm, well-lit room with very minimal distractions. I do not do well when cell phones are ringing or buzzing, doors constantly opening & closing & dinging every time it does so, people talking/whispering, dropping stuff on the floor & onto a table, etc., etc.  You see, now that I'm in PF & know my exams will be proctored, these images come to mind b/c I take my grandchildren to the library often & this is what I see & hear. As a customer of the library it's not a problem, but if I'm expected to take an exam there?  I won't be needing a proctor any time soon, so I'm looking for feedback 1st & then I'll start the footwork & paperwork (which in itself takes time as I've read about). Any other practical advise regarding the actual test site that I should look for?  Thanks.
