So I found one post but lost it & can't find it again to reply to it (checked all 39 pg. 4+ times). It said something about if you don't like pitts then you shouldn't be a vet tech. My question is, Are you gonna require all nurses to like ALL people too? lol
Some people don't like rats or snakes or lizards or hamsters or things like that. If they became a vet tech they would just have to deal with it if one showed up, or let someone else take care of the animal. Liking or not liking certain animals is not a requirement for being a vet tech. If I didn't like a breed, you wouldn't be able to tell from my reaction. When I don't like a specific dog, you usually can't tell that either from watching me, at least for a while. You put me and a pitt in an exam room together and I'll be smiling and petting it and talking to it just like any other dog, because I like dogs and it's a dog - unless it starts growling. Which just happened today.
Then it gets muzzled. So. There ya have it.
