The stance on higher education changes back and forth, like so many other things. It's fine for a few years and then it's painted in a bad light and left up to your conscience for the next several. We pulled all of our kids out of school and put them in something similar to Penn Foster. Only one graduated and it really didn't seem to matter that the rest of them didn't at the time, since Armageddon was always just around the corner. I am overwhelmed with guilt when I think of what my kids were deprived of now. My husband is still a JW but I think he even has regrets about their education....especially since another 20 years have gone by and they are adults. Some of them worked and got their GEDs later in life, knowing how important it was, but their lives could have been so much better.
