I would advise looking into where you are going to take your practicum NOW. You are responsible for finding an appropriate place and that can be a challenge. Also, don't be shy. Be upfront and proactive about what you need your host hospital to assist you with. Stay organized and alert. This will help you recognize a learning opportunity right away allowing you to check things off your list. You can't be a wallflower because you will likely have to assert yourself (a little anyway) to be given the chance to get hands on. And have fun!!! :)
