Re: SATs

If you plan to go to a college which require the SAT, take the SAT. But you don't need to take the SAT to get your high school diploma. Best wishes.

Re: Help please!

Re: confused

I am sorry to hear that some of my fellow students have had some difficulties regarding the material.

I can relate because there have been times that I thought that I found discrepancies in my material as well as in my tests. After these findings I contacted my instructors, I might add that on a few occasions I was quite upset. However, my instructors would then explain how the material was correct and I had actually misunderstood the information. It wasn't easy to hear, but it was at times like this that I ended up learning quite a bit.

I would encourage you to reach out to our instructors and tell them what you have found. They will make changes accordingly, or they will explain what the information is saying.

If you don't know how to reach your instructors here is how you can:
By Phone: 1-888-427-1000Through the Subspace(s): High School

-Just click on this link then click subspace(s) again until you get to your current course.

Through the Community   High School

-Just click this link and almost all of our instructors name's will be off to the side. You can then select to private message them.

There are also teacher's assistants on the community that you can reach out to as well.

I hope you all find these helpful!

If you ever need some help or have questions feel free to reach out to me. I will do my best to help you directly, or I will get you in-touch with someone who can.

Externships again.

Someone provided screenshots of the program & courses that show when the externship will start and noticing when each semester ends and begins. Unfortunately, there is no way to throw or save messages so it no longer exists in my inbox. I'm very close to finals for Introduction to Veterinary Technology and I'm wondering if I should be looking for a place to externship now or after I start the next course?

Can I get a copy of the certification test?

I graduated two months ago.  I am sitting for the CPC this upcoming weekend.  I went back into my tests to try and pull up the 150 question certification test to take again.  It will give me the answer key, but not the questions.  Is there a way to get a PDF or something of that test so that I can take it again?

New Graphic Design student here!

Hey all, My name is Crystal and I am attending Penn Foster for Graphic Design. I am a stay at home Mommy to my tot and I really wanted to start a business that allows me to stay home that also gives me a creative outlet and graphic design is that for me. I'm still a newbie to Adobe software though I have made a few things including birthday invitations for my son and doing that really sparked a passion for the digital arts.. plus I think it runs in the blood as my father also studied graphic design many years ago.

I am very excited for this program and so blessed that I can do it from home. I really wasn't sure of going to college was going to work for me as I stay home with my son, so I am very thankful to have found Penn Foster.

Re: Anyone around South New Jersey??

I'm in South Jersey.  Camden County.

Meet Success Coach Marie!

Hi All!

I hope everyone reading this article is having a lovely day! If you frequent the Community, you may notice that I'm trying to write new material every few weeks and spend some time answering all of your questions. I figured, it might be nice for you to get to know me a little bit better.

I will start with the obvious and let everyone know who isn't aware, I am a Success Coach here at Penn Foster. I have been part of the Penn Foster family since 2014. I started as a Student Care Representative back in February 2014. In March of 2016, I transitioned into the Success Coach role. Outside of my regular duties as a Success Coach, I am also part of our Culture Board Committee and I am always looking for different volunteer opportunities for Penn Foster employees to participate in.

On a personal level, one thing to know about me, which I'm sure is already mentioned somewhere in the Community world, is that I am a crazy cat lady. I have 2 cats that I am mildly obsessed with, Lady Jeffrey (long story on the name) and Quincy. These two goofballs are my fur babies and bring me more joy than anyone could possibly imagine.

Another thing about me is that I love to bake! Unfortunately, I don't get to spend as much time as I would like to in the kitchen. When time does allow for it, I could spend all day in the kitchen whipping up a batch of homemade chocolate cupcakes with raspberry frosting (that is probably my favorite dessert that I make). If you are part of the Cooking Club, keep an eye out because I will be posting the recipe soon! While I do love to out go and about, and I travel when I can, I am definitely the definition of a homebody. I love curling up on the couch and binging on Netflix. When the weather allows for it, I will remove myself from the living room and spend hours in my backyard. I enjoy the nice weather and usually end the night with a peaceful fire...and some s’mores!

I don't get to travel too much, but I did recently visited the Netherlands and had the opportunity to take a trip to the Keukenhof Gardens. I feel like I never truly appreciated the beauty of flowers until spending hours in the garden. If you ever have the chance to take a trip there, I would highly recommend it! I'm pretty much an open book. Feel free to ask me anything else you would like to know!

Re: Can I get a copy of the certification test?

Hi Sarah,

Unfortunately, the questions are no longer available once the exam is completed.

You can however, Google search free sample CPC exam questions, and usually

there are some free questions out there. Good luck on your cert exam, let us know

how you do!!

Re: New Graphic Design student here!

Welcome Crystal212!

My name is Cheyanne, and I am one of the Student Ambassadors for the Graphic Design spaces. Make sure to follow the Graphic Design Associate Degree or Graphic Design Undergrad Certificate space, depending on your program (feel free to join both spaces, though). Sharon Hopkins is the instructor for the GRD courses, so make sure to follow her as well. Also, you can contact me (along with my fellow2017 Graphic Design Student Ambassadors) with any questions you may or if you just want to talk.

I am sure you will love the program, I surely do! It is definitely a nice fit for someone looking to engage their creative side while being able to work/school from home. It is really interesting to see that your father studied Graphic Design, and it must have influenced you somehow. Best of success in your studies!

I am new to Penn Foster and like to get feedback.

My name is Al and I'd like to know how you folks have faired upon enrolling with Penn Foster. I'd also like to engage in weekly discussions regarding materials provided in our Student portal.

Re: 17 today!

Hey, I am not upset with you at all . I just got major attitude from him and one thing about me is that I Am A Master Debater and I also stand firm on a couple of view points... he wanted to battle and I really tried to make peace with him and I swallowed my pride but he was like not having it ... so I just want to not talk about it any longer ... it keeps rearing it's ugly head and I really want to stay clear of ( after this message to you ) this whole situation ( strange due to the fact I am dead center in it ... and really sad about these misunderstandings ) .I notice that it seems to take place when someone gets offended and someone takes that and becomes defensive ( I am no longer going to write in this space so if you want to say something else regarding this matter, just private message me. The whole thing is really a let - down to me , because I get on community to encourage and ( if I am able to ... help others ) as well as build up  others ( as much as I am able to ) .I  was not able to this time .

Re: Biology

Exactly..  The cost of books is included with tuition.  That said, in AP1&2, the 'Dog/Cat Atlas' is only offered in PDF form.  If you want hardcopy, you need to buy that book.

Anatomy Terminology

I'm currently on Anatomy and Terminology, and I wanted to know if the webinars for VET113 Anatomy and Physicology are similar to it? and would it be a waste of time to view those webinars or would it help?

Re: Anyone around South New Jersey??
